It’s Always Ourselves We Find in the Sea is a sound and art installation first showcased in Venice, exploring water’s universal connection. Created by Martyn Ware, Gabriel Ware, and Charles Stooke, with storytellers Oscar Blustin and Anna Söderblom, the piece combines soundscapes with visuals of flowing water and oceanic movement.
This 2024 iteration, displayed at the Focus Art Fair London, immersed visitors in seascape screens, enhancing the emotional depth of the soundscape to evoke water’s profound bond across humanity.
This installation was proudly supported by Monitor Audio, with thanks to LG for the screens used to bring this vision to life.
